Courses and Recognitions
To begin with, SIUVS has identified the following courses and recognitions.
Associates or Diploma
Associates or Diploma will be a short term course which gives an introductory knowledge about the chosen subject to the students. This course shall be of 6 months in duration.
Bachelor of Arts in Shastra
Bachelor of Arts in Shastra aims at recognizing the students with bachelor’s degree, which educates the student with adequate knowledge in the selected subjects. This course shall be of 3 years in duration.
Masters of Arts in Shastra
Masters of Arts in Shastra aims at recognizing the students with master’s degree; by imparting and facilitating the students with in-depth knowledge in the particular subject selected. This course shall be of 2 years in duration.
Doctoral Degrees (M.Phill, Phd., D.Litt.)
With the Doctoral Degrees SIUVS major aim is to throw light on hidden treasures in the Vedic tradition and bring out new inventions in the field of knowledge.
Duration : 3 - 5 years
Eligibility : Masters' Degree in any discipline with relative experience in the subject of research.
Admission : An application with Phd proposal form has to be submitted along with the prescribed fees. An interview/Viva-voce/exam will be conducted by the authorities.
After assessment by the University, the applicant will be admitted to the Phd Course.
On approval of the proposed research work, the research scholar has to submit the synopsis not limiting to 20 pages within a month from the date of acceptance of the proposed research work from S V S P Shastra Mahavidyalaya.
During the course of the research work, the scholar should submit the progress note, duly signed by the guide every 6 months along with the ongoing research work not limiting to 25 pages, failing with S V S P Shastra Mahavidyalaya reserves the right to disqualify the candidature.

Hon. Doctoral Awards
To identify and recognize the existing scholars who have made a valuable and extensive contribution to the society in the fields that are in line with the objectives of the SIUVS University and to facilitate them with honorary Doctoral Award to encourage and respect their knowledge and services.
Admission :
Any student with an intention and inclination for learning can seek admission to the Courses offered in the SIUVS University. Such eligible students should submit an application in the prescribed format along with the testimonials (if specified) and fee prescribed (will be decided from time to time). There is no recommended age limit for the admission.

Fee Structure
The fee structure, which is not limited to the course fee, examination fee, guide fee, evaluation fee or convocation fee shall be decided by the Executive body and can be revised every year as necessary.

Veda

Vedas are the ancient knowledge emerged out of the Brahman realized by great saints (rishis) in the form of Sanskrit hymns. It is a combination of text and peculiar pronunciation. By chanting these mantras or hymns one can be fulfilled by all his desires (Chaturvidha Purushartha - Dharma, Artha, Kama, Moksha).
We provide synthesized materials for the learning of Vedas, provide expert guidance with authenticity, refinement, evaluation and certification. Here, one can learn all the Vedas in the form of Moola ie., Samhitha(original), Kramantha and Ghanantha.
We also provide education in poorva (shodasha samskaras) and apara prayogas (death ceremonies) in different shakha like Ashwalayana, Apasthamba, Bodhayana etc., Interested candidates are requested to contact the Co-ordinator.
Agama

Agama is considered to be one among the 6 parts of Veda (Shadanga) and it has got lot of importance today right from the construction of Temple, creation of idols, installation of deities, performing poojas, to design yagna shala and methodology of yagna.

Jyothisham

Jyothisham is one among the 6 parts of Veda (Shadanga) and it has got a great importance astronomically as well as in predictive astrology. Now, this shastra has gained more importance in present scenario. This subject deals with planetary movement, calculation of ephemeris (panchanga), Predictive methodology based on Horoscope, Prashna, Nadi, Palmistry etc.,

Music is an ancient art, which has attracted people across the world. Being a great art music is in the form of vocal & instrumental. This performing knowledge has its root in Sama Veda and emerged out of the Veena of Saraswathi. After great contribution from the saints, this shastra has got a definite dimension for a systematic study.

Yogic Science

Yoga, a spiritual and ascetic discipline, a part of which, including breath control, meditation, and the adoption of specific bodily postures, is widely practiced for health and relaxation. In present scenario this Indian ancient shastra is widely accepted in the world context, as it leads to good health both mental and physical. In the earlier days this was personally practiced by yogis, and now a days; this shastra has been practiced widely and introduced in the University curriculum; which reveals its importance to mankind.
